Vacation Bible School is often one of the highlights of the church year. It’s fun! It’s loud! It’s got snacks! But over the years, more and more churches have been wondering, “Has VBS run its course? Is it effective? Are we reaching our community?”
Let’s imagine a different kind of VBS.
Imagine the entire family moving through a faith experience together; playing games, building crafts, maybe even a short parent training on faith formation at home… all happening at one of your cherished church events – VBS!!
Now imagine a tool that helps make it all possible.
ReFocus is happy to provide the following additional resources to journey with you from start to finish.
Family VBS Lead Team and/or Volunteer Training – Christina will guide your Team through the Why, What, How and Who of Family VBS and help create the cohesion of mission and vision you need for an unforgettable event!
Primary Lead Coaching – This one-on-one coaching experience will equip the Family VBS Primary Lead to guide volunteers, support parents, and create a Family VBS experience that will serve everyone involved, from start to finish.
Parent/Caregiver Discipleship Training On-Site or Zoom – Not sure how to incorporate Parent Faith Formation into your VBS? We offer a variety of Discipleship Seminars on a number of relevant topics that will help your parents/caregivers continue the faith conversation at home, long after VBS is over.
These add-ons are available at purchase. For more information on any or all of these, email Christina at christina@refocusministry.org and she will get back to you within 24 hours with options, pricing, and next steps for creating your Family VBS experience!
You were a phenomenal teacher to our group! We have repeatedly spoken about what a great event the VBS was, and that was primarily due to your lessons for our parents. Our focus for next year will expand on this year, and we hope to continue to teach our parents the importance of discipleship in the home.
